RML P39 GT Hypercar Debuts at Salon Privé 2025 with 920 HP and Le Mans DNA

RML’s P39 GT Hypercar: Le Mans DNA Meets Everyday Elegance

At the prestigious Salon Privé Concours d’Elégance at Blenheim Palace, RML Group lifted the covers off a machine that blurs the line between endurance racing pedigree and everyday usability — the P39 GT Hypercar.

Born from a Porsche 911 Turbo S, the P39 embodies Le Mans-inspired performance, fused with comfort and craftsmanship rarely seen in cars of this caliber. With just 39 units planned, including ten Anniversary Editions, the P39 isn’t just another hypercar — it’s a statement of what a Grand Tourer of the future should be.

What Is RML Group?

Founded in 1984 by former racing driver Ray Mallock, RML Group has over four decades of motorsport and automotive engineering expertise. From developing the Saleen S7 to the innovative Nissan ZEOD RC and the elegant RML Short Wheelbase, RML has built a reputation for blending race-bred performance with real-world usability.

What Is Salon Privé?

Held annually at Blenheim Palace, Salon Privé is one of the UK’s most exclusive luxury automotive showcases. The event combines a concours d’élégance with high-profile global premieres, attracting collectors, enthusiasts, and the world’s most prestigious carmakers.

The GT Hypercar (P39): At a Glance

Codenamed P39 for being RML’s 39th project, the GT Hypercar is a radical reinterpretation of the Porsche 911 Turbo S. Limited to 39 examples, with pricing starting at £495,000 before VAT and donor car, the P39 takes the already potent 992 Turbo S platform and transforms it into something entirely new — part hypercar, part grand tourer, and completely uncompromising.

Powertrain & Driving Modes

In collaboration with Litchfield Motors, RML developed a bespoke twin-turbocharged powertrain tuned for road manners and track aggression:

  • Wet Mode: ~600 hp for low-grip driving.
  • Normal Mode: 750 hp with progressive throttle response.
  • Sport / Sport+: Unleashes the full 920 hp and 705 lb-ft of torque.

An Inconel exhaust system, 8-speed PDK gearbox, and bespoke calibration complete the package, ensuring performance is as usable on a motorway as it is at the Nürburgring.

Road & Track Performance

Unlike many hypercars that demand compromise, the P39 was engineered to be both grand tourer and track weapon.

  • On the road: Adaptive suspension tuning delivers ride comfort and composure on everything from city streets to sweeping B-roads.
  • On the track: In its lowest suspension setting, the P39 generates more downforce than a Porsche 992 GT3 RS, with Nürburgring lap simulations targeting the 6:30s range.

Customization & Editions

Every P39 is a canvas for personalization. Owners can choose bespoke paint finishes, trim details, stitching, and dynamic upgrades to make their car unique.

For its 40th Anniversary, RML created a special run of 10 Anniversary Editions. These feature the full Performance Pack, track-focused upgrades, unique Storm Purple paint with exposed carbon, and gold wheels — celebrating RML’s four decades of engineering innovation.

Closing Summary

With the P39 GT Hypercar, RML Group has redefined what a modern GT car can be. By combining Le Mans-inspired engineering, a Porsche 911 Turbo S foundation, and hypercar-level performance, RML has created a machine that thrives on track yet remains civilised on the road.

Unveiled at Salon Privé, the P39 isn’t just a car — it’s an exclusive celebration of craftsmanship, performance, and rarity. With only 39 units worldwide, it stands as one of the most desirable GT hypercars of its generation.
